Lives positively touched

Every number is a child who slept with a full stomach.Every number is a mother who learned a skill.Every number is a story.

The work, in plain words

In a city that never sleeps, some still go to bed hungry.

Delhi serves the world's biggest dreams. But within its lanes, children skip school because they haven't eaten. Mothers stay silent because they were never taught to ask. We don't accept this as 'just how things are.' We're not changing the world overnight. We're changing one street, one child, one meal at a time, and we've been doing it every single day since 2021.

What We Do

Three pillars. One belief: dignity isn't optional.

Food & Nutrition
Food & Nutrition
01

Hunger doesn't take a day off. Neither do we.

Freshly cooked, hygienic, nutritious meals, every single day. Because no child should choose between studying and eating.

When a child has a book, the future has a chance.

Through books, uniforms, stationery, and mentorship, we remove the small barriers that quietly end big dreams. So far, we have enrolled 8 children in Usha Public School, Chakarpur, and 27 children in Government schools over the last 2 years.

Days that don't end where the program does.

Beyond the kitchen and the classroom, picnics, performances, sapling-planting, museum visits. Tiny doors that open into bigger worlds.

Inclusion

50+ children at the Inner Wheel run

Fifty children from Udaan Ki Paathshala took part in a community run organized by the Inner Wheel Club. Inclusion at events like this is the quietest, biggest confidence-builder.

Field Trip

Museo Camera, Gurgaon

An afternoon at Museo Camera, tracing the evolution of cameras from antique boxes to today's gear. The kids came back full of questions, and theories about why their phone cameras work the way they do.

Seeds, soil, and a few trees

On Earth Day, our kids learned how to grow what they sow, guided by experts on seed-based activities and the small daily habits that keep a community greener.

A learning picnic to Qutub Minar, the National Rail Museum, and Lal Quila, organised with deepest gratitude to Mr. Vijay Pahwa, whose generosity makes these days possible.

“Festival celebrations help our children stay close to their culture and traditions. At Udaan, we try to celebrate them all.”

Our timeline

Five years. One step at a time.

2021

First community kitchen

We start cooking for 30 children in Sangam Vihar. The math is simple: empty stomachs can't learn.

2022

Books, then uniforms

We notice attendance drops in winter. So we add uniforms, sweaters, and stationery to the program.

2023

Mothers' workshops

The mothers ask: what about us? We launch our first six-month tailoring cohort.

2024

5 lakh+ meals

Across Delhi/NCR. Every meal cooked, every child fed, every uniform stitched, by people from these neighbourhoods.

2025

What's next

A second-skill program (digital literacy) for graduates of the tailoring cohort. And a kitchen we own, not rent.
